The joint Commonwealth Ombudsman and Australian Federal Police review of ACT Policing’s watch house operations has received 14 submissions, as well as reports on overseas custodial facilities. In addition, the review team has visited a number of custodial facilities in Australia.

In view of the large volume of material that needs to be digested and analysed by the review team, its schedule has been revised to allow the team more time to prepare its report. It is now expected that the report will be completed by 11 May 2007, rather than the end of April as originally expected.
